Get to know Ophthalmologist Dr. Robert E. Lee III, who serves patients in Manahawkin, New Jersey.

Recognized as a skilled ophthalmologist, Dr. Lee III joined Southern Shores Eye Center, P.A. in  Manahawkin, New Jersey in 1998. He has been a managing partner since 2003. Helping his patients to maximize their vision and well-being, he offers minimally invasive glaucoma surgery at the time of cataract extraction using the Glaukos iStent. He is also proficient in Botox® and Juvéderm administration, and offers additional treatments to tighten, revitalize, and rejuvenate the skin. With a broad educational background, Dr. Lee III graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with high honors from the University of Notre Dame. He then attended the Duke University School of Medicine, graduating with his medical degree in 1994. From there, he went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh where he finished as Chief Resident.  Serving the Manahawkin and surrounding communities for over 20 years, he is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO).

Robert E. Lee III, MD, attended Duke University School of Medicine from Durham, North Carolina, and received his medical degree in 1994. Furthermore, he conducted his residency in ophthalmology (1994 – 1998) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year (1998). In addition, Dr. Lee III received board certification in ophthalmology from the American Board of Ophthalmology. He remains a member in good standing with the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In addition to his medical degree, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree acquired with high honors at the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Lee III spends his spare time with his wife and children. He enjoys family time at the beach, as well as personal time on the golf course or at the gym. He also like to root for his favorite sports teams and his children’s sport activities.
